Mr. Marcum, Meet Dr. Andrews

Just in case anyone had any good feelings left at the end of a borderline disastrous road trip, it was announced over the weekend that Shaun Marcum, arguably the Jays best starter this season, will be visiting Dr. James Andrews to have his elbow examined.

North of Steeles has been experiencing tightness in his elbow over the last couple of weeks and was subsequently placed on the 15 day DL.

In other news, you're fired, your puppy just died and your mother, she never really loved you.

Okay, okay, it's not all sharp-toothed blow jobs. There are a few other roster moves to talk about. Adam Lind rejoined the team yesterday and lit the world on fire going 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Mr. Mensa himself Brandon League also rejoined the team, as Kevin Mench was optioned to Syracuse to make room.

According to new manager Cito Gaston (I'll get used to it eventually), we can expect to see Lind play an everyday role with the big club. There's more on exactly what we think of Cito's lineup changes on our latest podcast, which I'm sure Stoeten will want to introduce considering he scored us an impressive guest for this week.

Ironically, all three of these are true for me this week.

Sounds like he'll start rehabbing on Saturday, which I assume means no reconstructive surgery will be required.
