Well, if we can split the last two we can go to the ASB a game below .500 which is pretty close to Cito's goal.
I'll try to stay optimistic.
I think A.J.'s start is about trying to win at least one of them--Litsch has struggled of late (1-4, 5.27 ERA over his last seven starts) and the Yankees own him (6.27 ERA).
I'm guessing Cito thinks Charlie Wholestaff will be needed today rather than tomorrow and it gives A.J. the All Star break to rest up.
