Is it bad that when these pitching duels take place that I now assume the Jays are going to crack first?

I want to get upset at the home plate umpire for squeezing Halladay all day, I want to get upset at bloop plays and lucky dribblers and shitty calls that all happened in the sixth inning. I found myself pacing my living room trying to calm down from what I thought was just shitty luck.

But then I had an epiphany.

We need to stop grasping at "luck" in one-run ballgames, blaming umpires for one shitty call and saying "I guess that's the luck you need to be a first-place team".

We need to realize that this Jays line-up is the most under-achieving group of baseball players in all of Major League Baseball, and they're complaining and sputtering into a last place spot in the AL East that they've deserved.

Because all that shitty luck that took place in the sixth inning doesn't really mean sweet fuck all, if we can't get a run to support Halladay in the first place.

There's no miracle to be had here, just another 3 months of torture until we can say say "wait 'til next year"
